Someone recently emailed me with a question about Red Creek. I haven't canoed Red Creek this year, but I have looked at it from three bridges and it looks like a nice trip. Remeber Red Creek is not long. It becomes unnavigable before it reaches Jefferson Road.
My suggestion was to start up Red Creek from the canal at sunset if you are planning a paddle this week. By the time you reach Crittenden it will be dark and you will see the fireflies, which are plentiful right now.
