LDA's 40th Birthday Bash!
LDA Life and Learning Services (formerly Learning Disabilities Association of the Genesee Valley, Inc.) will be celebrating it's 40th Birthday on Friday, August 1st, 2003 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at our offices located at 339 East Avenue, near the inner loop. We will be featuring the Steve Green Trio, a local Rochester jazz group, and the vocal stylings of poet Diane Gaffney - who has performed in the International Jazz Festival, and who will also be performing a story hour for children. In addition, LDA will be presenting each child who comes to our birthday party with a book. We will also be featuring a cake contest for local pastry chefs and bakers, in both amateur and professional divisions, with awards designed and provided by local artist, Andrew Galvin, who has received national acclaim for his glassworks, and a cake auction for anyone who wants to stop by and bid on the cakes submitted. Coffee and cake will be served as well. For contact information, please call Barbara Bangs, Director of Marketing for LDA Life and Learning Services at 585-263-3323, ext 247. Our website is at http://www.ldagvi.org, and our address is LDA Life and Learning Services, 339 East Avenue, Suite 420, Rochester, NY 14620. This event is FREE TO THE PUBLIC. Thanks!
