- TRET FURE IN CONCERT
- Greater Rochester Repertory Companies (GRRC) is indeed pleased and proud to bring back to Rochester, Tret Fure, one of America's finest contemporary singer/songwriters. The concert will be held on Friday May 9th 2003 8:30 PM at the historic Visual Studies Auditorium The VSW auditorium is located AT 31 Prince Street, on the corner of University Avenue directly across the street from the School of the Arts. Tret is truly one of the most multi-faceted artists on the contemporary music scene. Her first album -Tret Fure - on MCA records - featured some of the best musicians of the time: Bonnie Raitt and Van Dyke Parks. She also worked with YES, POCO and the J GEILS BAND. Of her 2001 album BACK HOME the CHICAGO FREE PRESS said: "Her voice is rich….smooth" They enthused about her songwriting capabilities: "Poetic lyrics…intimate acoustic music…subtle, powerful…" While Tret is an icon in the women's music scene, she is highly respected in the mainstream folk world Tret's last appearance in Rochester was a sold-out concert at the Twelve Corners Coffee House in 2001. We are indeed pleased to welcome her back! Tickets are priced at $15.00 in advance and $18.00 at the door on the night of the performance.
