- 9:00 AM Helen Rice and Jackson Thomas. Hand lens helpful. Thousand Acre Swamp All hikes are offered as a public service by volunteers for the Thousand Acre Swamp Sanctuary. They are free and open to the public. Hikes begin in the sanctuary parking lot, located in Penfield on Jackson Road between Atlantic Avenue and Plank Road, opposite Penfield Center Road. - 9:00 a.m. Enjoy a pleasant summer morning in the 68-acre Hansen Nature Center at Tinker Park. There are a variety of habitats to explore including marsh, pond, field, woods, and a wildflower meadow. Come for an easy walk on the trails to see what we can find. Leader: Janet Miles, 787-0507.
