- Michael Moore to speak at the University of Rochester
- I just learned that Michael Moore (author of _Stupid White Men_ and _Downsize This!_, as well as the star of such films as _Roger & Me_ and _Bowling for Columbine_) will be speaking at the University of Rochester on Wednesday, March 26. The talk will be at Strong Auditorium, at the River Campus, at 9 PM. The cost of a ticket is $3 for U of R undergrads, $5 for other people affiliated with the U of R, and $10 for the general public. Tickets are available through the U of R's Common Market (in Wilson Commons) or Aaron's Alley (665 Monroe Ave., 244-5044). For more information, call 275-5911.

- Rochester NY SGML/XML Users Group meets 6-8 pm at Kodak Theater on the Ridge, rrom signs will be posted. Topic: "XML Solutions using MS Word as the interface" Presentor: Jeff Poisson of i4i will demo the x4o Author product and the x4o Designer. He'll give a case study of the Canadian Navy which is producing training documents in XML, integrated with Hummingbird's DM 5.0 and using modular authoring ("chunking" a document into sections and managing them).
