- Tracking the Groundhog at Wesley Hill
- Groundhog Day Hike at the Wesley Hill Nature Preserve, Richmond, Ontario County. 1 pm Join expert tracker Angela Yeatman and discover the art of tracking. Using tracking guides and museum model prints, Yeatman, an environmental educator and naturalist, will teach us how to read prints, find patterns, and discover "stories in the snow". All ages. Bring skis or snowshoes. Meet at the Wenrich cabin, a short walk from the Wesley Road entrance to the preserve. The cabin will be open and heated, and hot beverages will be provided. Wesley Road is off Gulick Road in the town of Richmond. The Preserve entrance is about one mile from the intersection of Gulick Rd and Wesley Rd. This event, which is free and open to the public, is sponsored by the Western Lakes Chapter of the Finger Lakes Land Trust.
