- Healthy Eaters Potluck
- HEALTHY EATERS POTLUCK TO BE INAUGURAL EVENT FOR THE HEALTHY EATERS CLUB Rochester, NY -- A "Healthy Eaters Potluck," will be held Saturday, February 15, at the Rochester Friends Meeting House, 84 Scio Street, Rochester, beginning at 6 p.m. (doors open at 5 p.m.). The potluck is sponsored by The Healthy Eaters Club, a new Rochester area organization dedicated to helping people maintain healthy eating habits through social and educational activities. A donation of $5 or more ($2 for low income) is requested to cover the facility rental. Participants must also bring a dish to pass that has been approved by the potluck coordinator. There will be a structured program following the meal to brainstorm future events for the club. The potluck and the club are open to anyone committed to establishing and maintaining healthy eating habits. The club does not push any particular diet or eating lifestyle, but rather encourages individuals to inform themselves about nutrition and make decisions based on personal needs. The club's purpose is to help people connect healthy eating with pleasure, friendship, and a cheerful spirit. There are only two restrictions: no smoking will be allowed at events, and children under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Meat eaters, vegetarians, and vegans are welcome. Every effort will be made to ensure that everyone will have appropriate choices. Membership is free. People who wish to participate in the potluck must register by February 11.
