- Festival of Flowers
- 2:00 PM Grace Strong, Frank Crombe, and Carl Herrgesell Learn identification, lore, and uses of the Swamp's summer bloomers. Thousand Acre Swamp. All hikes are offered as a public service by volunteers for the Thousand Acre Swamp Sanctuary. They are free and open to the public. Hikes begin in the sanctuary parking lot, located in Penfield on Jackson Road between Atlantic Avenue and Plank Road, opposite Penfield Center Road. - Spiders
- 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. This program is geared for elementary-aged children who have an interest in spiders and bugs. Through a hands-on activity, visual displays and preserved specimens, children will learn what makes spiders so special and why we shouldn't be afraid of them. Spider enthusiast Laurie Andrews will provide an entertaining indoor program followed by a short search for spiders outside. Every child wile take home a life-like plastic spider.
