- Music to My Eyes Art Auction and Gala
- Music and art will come together in an exhibit and benefit auction at The Rochester Contemporary (RoCo) during the Rochester International Jazz Festival. RoCo's new location is in the heart of the Jazz Festival at 138 East Avenue. The exhibit, Music to My Eyes, will open June 4th and continue through June 11th. During the Festivalís evening hours, artwork inspired by music and jazz and created by regional artists will be featured. Local artists who are also musicians will perform at the center during the exhibit. The featured artwork will be then be sold at the 20th Annual RoCo Art Auction Gala Friday, June 11th from 7 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Richard Storms, owner of the Record Archive, will be the auctioneer. Tickets for the benefit art auction and gala are $25 per person and $15 for RoCo members. They can be purchased by calling RoCo at 585-461-2222. RoCo, a non-profit arts center, has been bringing provocative contemporary art to Upstate New York for more than 27 years. More than 500 artists and art lovers are members of RoCo, helping it fulfill its mission to foster the creation and appreciation of contemporary arts.
- Adult Rowing Program Applications being accepted now!
- Fairport Crew Club is sponsoring an adult learn-to-row program at the Fairport Crew Club Boathouse (rte. 31F). Participants will learn sweep rowing in an 8-person shell on the canal. This is a total body, low-impact sport that is open to all fitness levels. Session 1: 6/20 - 7/11 (Sundays 2-4:30 pm, Tuesdays 6-8:30 pm).
